Description:

This belt was created by Sonny Manos, Onondaga Nation, New York.

“The five diamonds represent the fires for the women of the five original Haudenosaunee people, each diamond is a fire of each Nation. The 8 conjoining figures at each side of the five fires represent the clans that come from the women of those fires. Only these clans can be found within the Haudenosaunee with a Constitutional fire within the Hiawatha wampum belt! The Haudenosaunee follow the women bloodline. Only these 8 clans can be found within all five original Haudenosaunee nations, bear, wolf, turtle, heron, hawk, snipe, deer, and beaver are Constitutional clans with the Sovereignty of the Hiawatha wampum aka (Great Law Of Peace).

This wampum of the five sister's confirms 8 clans are from the Five Haudenosaunee Nations, and that only  Heron, Wolf, Bear, Deer, Snipe, Hawk, Beaver, and Turtle are the 8 different animal clan families from the respected Seneca, Cayuga, Onondaga, Oneida, and Mohawk people's!

The five diamonds represent the fires for the women of the five original Haudenosaunee Nations.”
